Funeral services for Mr. Ray A. Young will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church in Bentley, Louisiana with Pastor Carl Gulde officiating. Interment will be in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Bentley, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Young, age 76, of Pineville, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 15, 2014 in Rapides Regional Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana.

Mr. Young worked many years for the Dept. of Wildlife and Fisheries. He enjoyed bull riding. He was in the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army. He was an avid fan of Texas A & M, Saints and LSU.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Susie Young; also by his son, David Young.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Ijuana (Joan) Young of Pineville; two sons, Waco Young (Renee) of Dry Prong, Wade Scott (Rona) of Alabama; three daughters, Kathy Girlinghouse of Montgomery, Gayle Wiggins (Gary) of Tioga and Debbie Davis (Terry) of Texas; one brother, Rick Young (Bernie) of Tickfaw, Louisiana; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; also survived many family and friends.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Friday, September 19, 2014 at Bethel Baptist Church, Bentley, Louisiana from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
