Life Story for Rebeka L. "Beka" Johnson

Rebeka L. "Beka" Johnson
Funeral services for Beka L. Johnson will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Laurel Sanders and Joe Ortego officiating. Interment will be in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Beka, age 25, of Deville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital.

She was a life-long resident of Rapides Parish. There are not enough words to describe our Beka. Her fun, loving, and big heart was always first in line to help others. Not a day went by when she wasn’t joking or making us laugh. Every niece, nephew, and child that ever came in contact with Beka, always looked forward to the next time to play with her. Beka was “one of a kind”, with a heart like no other. Always a smile on her face that spread throughout everyone she came in contact with. She was our “Wild Child” better known to some as “Leroy”. She never took no for an answer and stood up for what she believed in. Beka helped and cared for everyone unconditionally. Not a day will go by that she will not be missed by everyone that knew her.

She is preceded by death by her paternal grandfather, L.D. Johnson; maternal step-grandfather, Ronnie Spurlock, Sr.; two uncles Dustin Mason and Victor Spurlock.

She is survived by wife, Kira Shavers; father D.D. Johnson and Sharon; mother Jenny Spurlock and Ronnie; paternal grandparents Kenny and Kathy Mason; maternal grandfather, Mike Butler and Judy; maternal grandmother, Linder Holland; maternal step-grandmother, Betty Spurlock; three brothers Blake Johnson, Nicholas Ford, and Matthew Hardee; five sisters, Cheyene Hickman and Chad, Danielle Dubroc, Charinnia Spurlock, Kaitlin Spurlock, and Destaine Johnson; lastly her numerous nieces and nephews that she loved so much.

Friends may call at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Friday, July 29, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 30, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
