Jacqueline Louise Carnahan (Simpson)
Memorial services celebrating the life of Ms. Carnahan will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 13th, 2017, in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana. Visitation will be observed at 1:00 p.m. until time of service, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Jacqueline Simpson Carnahan was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on August 13, 1946 and passed away in Alexandria, Louisiana on April 27, 2017. A graduate of Bolton High, she grew up in Shreveport and Alexandria before spending many years of her life raising a family of her own in the New Orleans area. Jacque loved living in the beautiful Northshore area where she made many great friends and created a loving home for her family. During this time in her life Jacque loved to cook, especially cuisine from Louisiana, and became a great tennis player. After her children were settled on their own, Jacque lived for a time in Alexandria where she owned an antique store. Eventually she moved back to the New Orleans area again where she worked for a number of years for Cost Plus World Market. Jacque came back to her hometown of Alexandria a couple of years ago to be closer to family still in the area. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons, Tim (Shelley) of Katy, Texas and Drew (Ursula) of Orlando, Florida, her brother Tommy Simpson (Suzie), of Alexandria and sister Peggy Johnson (Ed) of Rosedale, LA, as well as her four grandchildren, Hannah, Aidan, Lily and Henry and a host of nieces and nephews.
