Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Tommy Townsend can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Tommy Ray  Townsend
Tommy R.Townsend, age 41, of Port Barre, LA passed away Sunday, April 30, 2017.
He was born to parents Thomas D. Townsend and Victoria J. Nelms Townsend on February 16, 1976 in San Bernadino, CA. He was raised in Galveston, TX and Alexandria, LA. He was an arborist by trade and loved what he did, like a monkey in a tree. He loved his family and friends, and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his wife, Felisa M. Townsend, of Port Barre. Three sons, Devin J. Rodriguez, of Lafeyette, LA, Tom “Haven” Townsend, of Austin, TX, and Eric F. Townsend, of Austin, TX. Father, Thomas D. Townsend, of Pineville, LA. Sisters, Angela Townsend and Tennill Townsend. Step brothers and sister, Scott Williams, Chris Williams, Scott Barksdale, and Beth Mills. Along with an aunt, uncle, brother and sister in law, cousins, and numorous nieces and nephews.

He is preceeded in death by his mother, Victoria J. Nelms Townsend. Grandfather, Tommy M. Townsend and grandmother Melba “Ann” Bushnell Bouvier.

There will be a memorial service for his friends and family to be held at the pavillion behind Buhlow Lake in Pineville, LA on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 2pm.
