Graveside services for Mr. James C. Plunkett will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2017 at Little Hope Cemetery, Castor, Louisiana with Reverend Chuck LaCroix officiating, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Plunkett, age 86, of Montgomery, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Summit Retirement Center, Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.

James had a funny but dry sense of humor. He enjoyed working in the garden and walking with his two dogs, Buddy and Pup.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Moeese Plunkett; parents, Henry and Clara Plunkett; one son, Johnny Plunkett; brothers, Cotton and Murl Plunkett; sister, Ruby Faye Plunkett Keith.

He is survived by one son, Jimmy Plunkett (Kristine) of Montgomery; three daughters, Kathy Brouillette of Alexandria, Theresa Schara (Peter) of Hammond and Paula Courteaux of Mississippi; four brothers, John Henry Plunkett (Marie) of Jonesboro, Douglas Plunkett of Jonesboro, Robert Earl (Kathy) of Jonesboro and Cecil Plunkett (Geneva) of Mississippi; fourteen grandchildren; twenty seven great-grandchildren.
