Obituary for Joanne Elizabeth Jenkins (Prouty)
Funeral services for Mrs. Joanne Prouty Jenkins will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Clifton Simon officiating. Interment will be in Tioga Cemetery, Tioga, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Mrs. Jenkins, age, 43, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on August 23, 2017 at Hilltop Nursing Home, Pineville, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Jenkins was born is Haverfordwest, Wales UK, where her father served in the United States Navy. She was a resident of Pineville, Louisiana for the past 14 years.
She is preceded in death by her son, Andruw J. Mendes.
She is survived by her husband of six years, Chuck Jenkins of Pineville; father and step-mother, Richard Prouty (Patricia) of Tyler, Texas; mother, Lilly Simmonds of Alberta, Canada; one daughter, Denise M. Prouty of Pineville; step-daughter, Abigail A. Jenkins of Deville; two brothers, Michael D. Prouty of Deville and Joey J. Simmonds of Alberta, Canada; one grandson, Shaw J. Reed.
Friends may visit on Friday, August 25, 2017 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 12:00 p.m. until time of service.
