Obituary for Kenneth "Mac" McKinzey

Kenneth "Mac"  McKinzey
Funeral services for Mr. Kenneth “Mac” McKinzey will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2017 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana, with Father Hart officiating. Burial with full Military Honors will be held in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, LA under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home Ball, LA.

Mr. McKinzey, age 73, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, September 18, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Kenneth, best known as “Paw-Paw Mac” or “Pee-Wee” was a loving father, grandfather, brother and uncle. “Mac” served his country in the US Air Force, retiring as a Master Sergeant. After his Air Force career, Paw-Paw Mac went on to retire from the US Postal Service. He loved to hunt, fish and watch his grandson Eric Carter play football for the Pineville Rebels.

Mr. McKinzey is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Maria McKinzey.

He is survived by two daughters, Heidi Carter of Pineville and Evelyne Miller of Grapevine, TX; one grandson, Eric Carter of ULM in Monroe, LA; two sisters, Linda Gray of Mustang, OK and Eva Euler (Gerald) of Kerrville, TX.; several nieces and nephews including Henry Hensley (Susan), Karen Glenn (Sam), Leslie Duffie (Kelly), Frankie Van Dyke (Bob), Johnny McKinzey (Judy), Richard Euler (Jaeton) and Joan McKinzey.

Pallbearers will be Chuck Spurlin, Chris Carney, Henry Hensley, Eric Carter, Rich Linder, Jake Slider, David Pace, and Brian Setliff. Honorary Pallbearers will be Alex Brimson and Wayne Dunkeson.

Friends may visit on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 12:00 p.m. until service time at 2:00 p.m.
