Life Story for Joyce Lee Price (Bordelon)
Funeral services for Mrs. Joyce Lee Bordelon Price will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Gallagher Funeral Home Chapel with Father George Gennuso officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Friends may visit at Gallagher Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mrs. Price, age 88, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, October 30, 2017 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Price was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend. She was a long-time member of St. Michaels Episcopal Church and retired from the Rapides Parish School System as cafeteria manager at Lessie Moore Elementary School. She loved flowers, “Days of Our Lives” and was a “Pink Lady”, volunteering at Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Price is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Edgar Price; her parents, Dennis and Leola Bordelon; three sisters, Verlene Bordelon, Patsy Rachal and Brenda Bordelon; two brothers, J.D. Bordelon and Steve Bordelon.
She is survived by two daughters, Sherry Price Bordelon and Jackie Price Arnold (Scooby) all of Pineville, La; a son, Randy Lee Price (Marilyn) of Alexandria; two sisters, Linda B. Duke (James) of Georgia and Mary Jane Napiorski of Conroe, TX.; three brothers, Nelson Bordelon (Betty) of Pollock, Henry D. Bordelon (Judith) of Kolin and Raven G. Bordelon of Alexandria, La.; six Grandchildren, Jeffrey E. Reed (Stacy), Bradley G. Arnold (Stacy), Blake R. Arnold (Rebecca), Brandon M. Ashley (Casey), Leeann E. Borrel (Luke) and Matthew T. Price; seven Great-Grandchildren, Brittica L. Reed, Katelyn G. Arnold, Joelle J. Arnold, William A. Arnold, Brandon M. Ashley, Caroline E. Borrel and Bailey N. Price.
Pallbearers honored to serve are Jeffrey E. Reed, Bradley G. Arnold, Blake R. Arnold, Brandon M. Ashley, Luke Borrel, Matthew T. Price and Scooby Arnold. Honorary Pallbearers are Mrs. Price’s Great-Grandchildren.
