Obituary for Clarence K. Stiles Jr.

Clarence K. Stiles Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Clarence Kresge Stiles, Jr., will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 1, 2017 in the chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Clarence Kresge Stiles, Jr. was born on May 11, 1954 in Wilmington, DE. He went to be with his Lord as he slept at home, surrounded by family, on November 29, 2017, after fighting a hard battle with cancer.

Coming from little means in his youth, Clarence joined the Air Force to build his first career in the communications field, and was medically retired as a Master Sargent with over 20 years of active duty service. Being a disabled veteran only gave him the drive to find a way to change the lives of others. He decided to start a new journey and enrolled into college, where he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from Louisiana College and Master’s Degree in Social Work from Grambling State University. Upon completion of his schooling, he became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with the Department of Veterans Affairs specializing in addiction therapy and acute psych. He was passionate about helping and changing the lives of other veterans, as he worked faithfully within the VA system and the Department of Defense for over 20 years. He was a member of many organizations to include the Free Masons, the National Association of Forensic Counselors, and other countless veteran related organizations.
Clarence was known as a loving husband, father, and paw-paw. He was a man of endless generosity, and lived life to the fullest through his love of fishing, traveling, and the appreciation of a fine wine and a rich cigar. He was always the life of the party.
Clarence was his children’s best friend, and number one cheerleader. He encouraged them to be passionate about everything they aspire to become. He taught them to be out spoken, loud, verbally profound, and even opportunistically inappropriate at times. He will be missed daily and loved always.
He was preceded in death by his father Clarence “Chow” Kresge Stiles Sr.; his sister Judy Stiles; his step-mother Betty Stiles.

Survivors include his wife, Donna; his daughter, Stephanie Stiles and partner Hattie Smith; his step-daughters Sydney Victorian, and Zoē Coleman; his sons, Clarence “Kreg” Stiles, III and wife Crystal, Jarrett Stiles-Rodriguez and husband Rene; his step-son Frederick Victorian; his grandchildren, Aeriell Stiles, Cristian Stiles, Knox Stiles, and Cora Stiles; his mother, Mary Powell; his brothers Alvin Stiles, and Johnny Stiles; his sisters, Carroll Stiles, Barbara Stiles, Linda Stiles, and Louise Stiles.

Friends may visit at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. until time of services at 5:00 p.m.
