Funeral services for Donny Ray Moore, Sr. will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Pine Coupee Pentecostal Church, Flatwoods, Louisiana with Reverend’s Roland George and Wayne Setliff officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Moore, age 61, of Pitkin, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Friday, December 1, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Moore was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. He loved the outdoors, hunting, cooking and loved racing.

Mr. Moore is preceded in death by his parents, Marvin Moore and Lillie George Moore; brother, Danny Wayne Moore; and sister, Charlene Fountain.

He is survived by his wife of nine years, Eleanor Moore of Pitkin; five sons, Donny Ray Moore, Jr (Jessica) of Elmer, Chad Edward Moore (Amanda) of Alexandria, Brian Keith Perkins (Jo) of Pitkin, Randal Perkins (Ginger) of Elmer, Jeffrey Calhoun (Bridget) of Texas; one daughter, Elizabeth Nolan (Gary) of Pitkin; two sisters, Debby Jeansonne (Eric) of Oakdale and Donna Birkhimer (Brett) of Gardner and one brother, Ricky Moore (Paula) of Pineville; seventeen grandchildren including Dakota and Levi Nolan and four great grandchildren, and life long hunting partner, Ronald George.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Norbert Nolan, Bryan Perkins, Bobby Bloodsworth, Walker Carr, Ricky Moore, Shawn Perkins, Gary Nolan, Danny Moore; two honorary pallbearers, Levi Nolan and Dakota Nolan.


Friends may visit on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at Pine Coupee Pentecostal Church, Flatwoods, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until and on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
