Obituary for Jackie Reed Dubois
Funeral services for Mr. Jackie Reed Dubois will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, January 1, 2018 at Summerfield Baptist Church, Colfax, Louisiana. Interment will be in French Cemetery, Colfax, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Dubois, age 77, of Montgomery, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Dubois worked in the logging industry for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Alverda Racine Dubois; brothers and sisters, Ida Mae Dubois, Joy Chellette, Christy Dubois, Eda Chellette, Pearlie Versher, James Dubois, and Sylvester Dubois.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Linda Sue Dubois of Montgomery; one son, Carl Michael Dubois (Tammy) of Montgomery; one daughter, Janie Johnson (Roger) of Montgomery; one brother Ebb Dubois (Vera Marie) of Montgomery; one sister, Mickey Lashley (E.H.) of Atlanta; grandchildren, Charlene Dubois, Logan Johnson, Jessica Ferrier, Brandon Ferrier; one great-grandson, Marshall Lee.
Friends may visit on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Summerfield Baptist Church, Colfax, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until time of service on January 1, 2018.
