Alvie Bee  Ellis Jr.
Mr. Alvie Bee. Ellis, Jr., age 63 of Pirate’s Cove, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Monday, January 29, 2018 at Rapides Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Arrangements for Mr. Ellis have been entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Ellis was an avid outdoorsman who loved bass fishing and deer and turkey hunting. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends at the lake in Pirate’s Cove. Mr. Ellis was also a dedicated LSU and Saints football fan. He was a very hard worker and a skilled construction worker. He had a great sense of humor and will forever be missed by those that knew and loved him.

Mr. Alvie is preceded in death by his father, Alvie Ellis Sr.; brother, Robert O. Ellis; and grandmother, Alejandrina Mendoza.

He is survived by one son, Chad Erwin (Jennifer) of Alexandria; mother, Maria Ellis of Pirate’s Cove); brothers, Edward E. Ellis of Lake Charles, Steven Ellis (Shanna) of Bentley, and Honorary brother, John DeSelle of Alexandria; niece, Kayla Marie Schultz; nephews, Benjamin Ellis, Joshua Ellis, Lucas Ellis, and Brantley Ellis; and grandchildren, Colin Layne and Mollie Kate Erwin.

There will be a celebration for the life of Mr. Ellis at his mother’s home at Pirate’s Cove in Florien on February 17, 2018.
