Condolence: Dear Sheila, Julie, John and Families, Danny and I are sorry for your loss. “Sis. Gertrude”, as we affectionately called her, was a sweet, Godly lady we loved dearly and will definitely miss!!! I just spent a good long visit with her at the Christmas party at Oak Haven where we reminisced about many things and people. She had a gift of memorizing poems and as she was quoting some of them her and Bro. Julius used to say, I couldn’t help but get my phone out and record her! I knew I wanted to remember how she could quote those poems and she agreed to me recording her. She will surely be missed as Danny and I, on occasion when she was feeling better and able to go, would pick her up for church. She and Danny and I would surely enjoy our conversations on the way there and back! She was a “cut up” and had us laughing and enjoying her company! Our loss is Heaven’s gain! We plan to meet her again in the “Sweet By and By”!!! Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you!!! Danny and Pam Watts Deville, LA 318-359-9419
