Life Story for Valerie "Vicky" Hattaway (Bond)
Mrs. Valerie “Vicky” Hattaway, entered eternal rest on Friday, February 16, 2018, at Naomi Heights Nursing Home in Alexandria, Louisiana. Born on February 23, 1925, to the union of Carl and Dena Bond, she was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Ova Lee “O.L” Hattaway.
A service celebrating Mrs. Hattaway’s life will be held on Monday, February 19, 2018, in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana, at 12:00 p.m. with Reverend Lyndon Marcotte officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
Friends are asked to visit with the family in the Funeral Home starting at 10:00 a.m. on Monday February 19, 2018 until time of service at 12:00 p.m.
Mrs. Hattaway is survived by her daughter, Sherry Peterson (Glen); son, Gary Hattaway (Connie); sister, Jimmie Sue Sterle; six grandchildren, Brian Hattaway (Deidra), Candace Bain (Will), Courtney Hattaway (Coby), Matt Peterson (Katie), Lindsey Bertrand (Jay), and Chris Hattaway; seven great-grandchildren, Bailey, Avery and John Brian Hattaway, Luke and Nick Bain, Abigail and Bradley Bertrand, and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be; Brian Hattaway, Matt Peterson, Will Bain, Jay Bertrand, Chris Hattaway, and Coby Fontenot.
Special thanks to the staff at Naomi Heights Nursing Home and St. Joseph Hospice for taking such good care of mom.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Poland Baptist Church, 3323 Highway 457, Alexandria, Louisiana 71302.
