Obituary for Calvin Revilo Lobaugh

Funeral services for Mr. Calvin Revilo Lobaugh will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Brad Franklin officiating, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Mr. Lobaugh, age 89, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at Rapides Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Calvin was born and raised in Oilton, Oklahoma. He was able to fix anything and was blessed with many talents! He worked in several oil refineries after graduation. Tidewater in Drumright, OK and Midland Oil Refinery in Cushing, OK enabled him to use his training and skills in instrumentation and mechanics.

Calvin joined the start up crew for Pineville Kraft paper mill in 1968. He retired from International Paper Co. after 26 years. He continued as an AC and heating Contractor in Alexandria, LA.

Calvin was a lifelong Methodist. He was a member of Horseshoe Drive United Methodist Church. He sang in the choir, served on committees & volunteered to fix equipment. He loved being a Boy Scout leader. He was a Scout Master in Oklahoma for 12 years and was recognized by the Order of the Arrow.

Calvin Lobaugh was a strong Christian who worked hard and Loved God and his Family!

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Eva Lobaugh; three brothers, Buster, Chester and Phillip Lobaugh; one sister, Melba Chestnut.

He is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Elaine Lobaugh of Alexandria; four daughters, Sue Franklin of Pineville, Nancy Newman (Danny) of Indianapolis, IN, Debra Stelly (Tim) of Alexandria and Gay Smith (Randy) of Deville; seven grandchildren, Charla Smith (Robert), Jessica Sharp (Jeremy), Robert Newman (Casey), Brad Franklin (Emily), Justin Smith (Becky), Christy Hamby (Daniel) and Christopher Stelly; thirteen great grandchildren.

Friends may visit on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, April 19, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
