Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie White of Ball, Louisiana, will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball. The wake will be held on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball, Louisiana under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. White is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Charles, her husband Robert (Bob) White and her son Greg White.

Bonnie White, Rapides Parish Schools/Ret, age 84, passed away on Jun 1, 2018. Bonnie was born July 16, 1933 in Green Valley, Linside, West Virginia. She was the oldest child of Thelma and Frank McDonald of Welch, West Virginia. She is survived by her sisters, Jane Martin of Spokane Washington and Ina McDonald of Salem, Virginia; her son Todd White of Ball and his wife Susan; daughter, Roberta (Robin) Simoni and her husband Michael of Jetersville, Virginia, and their children Brian, Karina and Eric; daughter-in-law Beth White and her children, Thomas White and Joshua White with his wife Lanie and their children, Nevaeh and Riley White.

She graduated from Welch High School in 1951, and Davis and Elkins College in 1954 with a degree in elementary education. She was a military wife, a mother and a life-long teacher. She was instrumental in the original design and implementation of the Rapides Parish Drug Free Schools Program. She was a member of Woodland Presbyterian Church in Pineville, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Teachers’ sorority Delta Kappa Gamma. She loved traveling, genealogy and playing the piano.
