Life Story for David Carson Leatherman
A celebration of life for Mr. David Carson Leatherman, will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. David Carson Leatherman, age 86, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at his residence in Pineville, Louisiana.
Mr. Leatherman was a Doctor of Pharmacy and owned with his family, Leatherman's Pharmacy, that operated in Pineville and Glenmora for many years. He was, for many years, an avid outdoorsman, enjoying snow skiing, and flying ultralight planes. He was a very talented artist and loved to paint with water color and was skilled at working with stained glass. Mr. Leatherman loved to travel and see the world. He enjoyed making custom golf clubs as well. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him. He was an avid reader, he loved gospel music, Willie Nelson and Karaoke.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Carol Powers Leatherman; parents, Edwin and Memie Leatherman; and all of his siblings.
Mr. David Leatherman is survived by his special friend, whom he loved dearly, Ann Charles Chaudoir of Pineville; son, William “Bill” Leatherman (Beau) of Alexandria; daughters, Sheila Gail Walker of Pineville and Laura Swantner of Pineville; grandchildren, Daniel Taylor, Amanda Hines, Emily Brown, Chad Franklin, Ryan Franklin, Kevin Franklin, and Avery Thiels; numerous great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
