Funeral services for Mr. Huey Pierce Brady will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at the Long Leaf Baptist Church in Glenmora, Louisiana, with Reverends Danny George and Greg Willis officiating. Friends may visit on Friday, June 8, 2018; at Long Leaf Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Interment will be at Butter Cemetery in Forest Hill, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mr. Huey Brady, age 85, passed away peacefully at his daughter's home in Oakdale into eternal rest on Thursday, June 7, 2018, at his residence in Oakdale, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Brady was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a self-sufficient man and really needed nothing except the love of his family. Mr. Brady was a hard worker and held numerous jobs including; tugboat operator, poured concrete, worked at the Long Leaf sawmill, a carpenter, L H Bossier, Van Plywood, and owned a nursery. He did all of that with only a 6th grade education. He loved to work and live off of his property and was an avid fisherman. The only time that he left his land was to go to church where he enjoyed the fellowship with others. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Brady and Gracie Harris Brady; brothers, Walter, Leon, and Chester Brady; and sisters, Fanny Cloessner and Dorothy.

Mr. Brady is survived by daughters, Bridget Brady Hebert (Morris) and Cathy Piercy (Steve); Lois Brady Norman; grandchildren, Donald Ray Bolton, Jr. (Valerie), Katlin Pierce Bolton (Emily), Tanya Michelle Crayon (Dustin), Connie Lodridge, Brad Herbert (Alison), Lucas Herbert (Katy), Cody Herbert (Stacy), Edric Smith (Valerie), Darren Smith (Meagan), Denise Youngblood (Marco), Sam Piercy, Joshua Piercy, John Piercy, Noah Piercy, and Emily Piercy; 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers honored to serve are; Donald Ray Bolton, Jr., Katlin Pierce Bolton, Edric Smith, Darren Smith, Dustin Crayon, Brad Herbert, Lucas Herbert, and Cody Herbert.
