Life Story for Michael Harrison Reeves

Mr. Michael Harrison Reeves, age 70, entered eternal rest on Thursday, June 1, 2018, at Rapides Regional in Alexandria. Funeral services for Mr. Reeves will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 in the chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana. Burial will follow in Lone Pine Cemetery in Bentley, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation for Mr. Reeves will be on Tuesday evening, June 19, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Mr. Reeves was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. Mr. Reeves proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1969 and also in Germany. He received several military honors during this time for his service, including a Bronze Star. Mr. Reeves also worked at Dresser Industries for 42 years before retiring in June of 2013.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Madison H. Reeves and Melba M. Dodson Reeves; and sister, Dorothy Virginia Reeves.

Mr. Michael Reeves is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Linda Ewing Reeves; daughter, Angela Reeves Word (John) of Camden, Arkansas; sons, Christopher M. Reeves of Bentley and Stephen M. Reeves (Kristie) of Pollock; four precious grandchildren; one sister, Margie M. Touchet of Pineville; two brothers, Jimmy D. Reeves of Magnolia, Arkansas and Jerry W. Reeves of Willisville, Arkansas.
