Life Story for Albert Herrin

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Albert Herrin will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 7, 2018 in the chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory Ball, Louisiana with Dr. David Shaw and Chaplain Dale McKee officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, in Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation for Mr. Herrin will be on Friday, July 6, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Herrin, age 85, entered eternal rest on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center in Houston, Texas.

Mr. Thomas Albert Herrin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Mr. Herrin proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and loved a good crawfish boil. Mr. Herrin was a long time member and Deacon of Parkview Baptist Church. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sargent Herrin and Elsie Wilson Herrin; sisters, Dorothy Elaine Herrin and Shirley Yvonne Dauzat; and son in law, Newburn Lee Bellon.

Mr. Herrin is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Eleanor Shiery Herrin; son, Andrew P. Herrin (Aaron); daughters, Bonnie F. Bellon (Tony), Linda K. Maynard (Butch), and Wendy G. Bellon; sister, Judy Elizabeth Blakelock (Fred); grandchildren, Cynthia Owens (Ryan), Robert Bellon (Sara), Chet Maynard (Karen), Amber Thomason (Jody), Rebecca McKee (Dale), John Bellon, and Susannah Gennuso (Nick); great-grandchildren, Malyssa, Elizabeth, Isabella, Nerissa, Mahayla, Edison, and August; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Chet Maynard, Robert Bellon, John Bellon, Nick Gennuso, Bart Blakelock, Alan Davis, Terry Coffman, and Daryl Wilson. Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Wayne Tanner, Jimmy Tanner, and H.L. Harrell.
