Obituary for Richard John Buelow
Funeral services for Mr. Richard John Buelow will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Tioga, Louisiana with Father Rick Gremillion officiating. Interment will be in Alexandria Memorial Gardens, Woodworth, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Buelow, age 73, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Buelow was a lifetime member of the VFW #1736 and the Knights of Columbus #9753, Tioga, Louisiana. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend. Mr. Buelow gave blood every month at Lifeshare Blood Center, Alexandria, Louisiana for over 35 years. He loved and served his community with pride. He enjoyed woodworking, golf and playing horseshoes. He was a faithful member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, Tioga, Louisiana.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Dorothy Steffen Buelow; two sisters, Sandi Buelow and Donna Tuegel.
He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Doris Dauzat Buelow of Pineville; two sons, Michael Buelow (Annette) of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Brian Buelow (Angie) of Pineville; two brothers, David Buelow of Dubuque, Iowa and Allan Buelow (Geri) of Dubuque, Iowa; two sisters, Barbara Green (Mel) of Dubuque, Iowa and Linda Ansel (Mike) of Dubuque, Iowa; three grandchildren.
Friends may visit on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1220 Tioga Rd., Ball, Louisiana 71405.
