Memorial services for Mrs. Carol J. Maxey will be held on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 11:00 a.m., in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana, with Reverend Kirk Maxey officiating, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. Maxey, age 65, of Dry Prong, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at Colfax Reunion Nursing Home, Colfax, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Jerrel “Kid” Maxey of Dry Prong; one son, Jarett Malone (Germaine) of Arizona; three daughters, Kristina Marie Leonard of New York, Amy Maxey of Arizona and Caitlyn Workman (Russ) of Arizona; two sisters, Patricia Kennedy (Shannon) of New York and Rose McQueen of New York; four grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends who loved her dearly.

In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to the American Cancer Society and Christus Hospice.
