Life Story for Jo Ellen Bays Blackmon
Funeral services for Mrs. Jo Ellen Bays Blackmon will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana, with Reverend Jack West officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Pineville, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Mrs. Blackmon, age 60, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Hill Top Nursing Home in Pineville, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Blackmon was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She was an interior decorator, she loved cleaning, organization and working in her flower gardens. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Joy Milam Blackmon.
She is survived by three sons, John “Trey” E. Bays, III of Homer, Mark Allen Bays (Chrissy) of Zachary and Matthew Lane Bays of Dallas, TX; one brother, John Lee Blackmon (Patricia) of Deville; three sisters, Linda McCoy (James) of Deville, Ginny Utsler (Jim) of Oklahoma and Jimmie Lou Hughes (Brother) of Hattiesburg, MS; seven grandchildren, Brooke Cassie Bays, Brilanne Tayler Bays, Brooklyn Nicole Bays, Summer LeAnn Bays, Zack Chase Garner, Emerson Sawyer and Anderson Lane Bays; her miniature rat terriers, Rat Rat and Princess.
Friends may visit on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
