Life Story for Robert Edward Mendenhall
Mr. Robert Edward Mendenhall, age 84, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the VA Medical Center, Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services will be held on Friday August 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Christway Church in Bentley, Louisiana, with Reverend Delbert Cates officiating.
Mr. Mendenhall was a loving husband, father, brother, and grandfather. He was a diesel mechanic and worked on logging equipment as well as drove logging trucks. Mr. Mendenhall was a jack of all trades and enjoyed working with his hands. When he had the time, he also enjoyed fishing. Mr. Mendenhall was a longtime member and Deacon at Christway Church. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
Mr. Mendenhall is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Helen Dees Mendenhall.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Peggy Lawrence Mendenhall of Pineville; two sons, Bobby (Janis) of Pineville, Tommy (Terri) of McKinney, TX; one daughter, Stacey (Chuck) of Pineville; three sisters, Jestine of Whitehouse, TX, Margaret of Arkansas and Minite Ruth of Lubbock, TX; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
