Life Story for Doris Ann Marcum (Linsicombe)
Funeral services for Mrs. Doris Ann Marcum will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana with Reverend Lamar Carpenter officiating. Burial will follow in Mars Hill Cemetery, near Atlanta, LA under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home of Ball, Louisiana. Visitation for Mrs. Marcum will be on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8: 00 p.m. and on Wednesday until service time.
Mrs. Marcum, age 65, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Hilltop Nursing and Rehab in Pineville, Louisiana surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Marcum was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She worked as a nursing assistant for Colfax Reunion for several years and enjoyed sewing and crocheting for her family. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
Mrs. Marcum is survived by two sons, James Marcum (Tammy) of Pineville and Robert Marcum of Johnstown, OH; three sisters, Lorrine Armon of Jennings, Liddie Gentry and Fran Williams both of Ball; one brother, Joe Linsicombe of Dry Prong and three granddaughters, Abigail and Abriana Marcum of Pineville and Brooklyn Day of Johnstown, OH. and her best friend, Philip Nolan.
