Obituary for Barbara Jean Tison (Brown)
Ms. Barbara Jean Brown Tison, age 80, of Woodville, Mississippi, entered eternal rest on Friday, March 22, 2019 at Liberty Community Living Center in Liberty, Mississippi.
Funeral services for Ms. Tison will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana, with Reverend Brandon Poole officiating. Visitation for Ms. Tison will be held on Wednesday; from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the service, at Coleman cemetery in Dry Prong, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.
Ms. Tison was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed fishing, camping, working in her yard, and was an avid gardener. Ms. Tison was also an amazing cook, most known for her homemade biscuits. She will forever be missed by those that knew and loved her.
Ms. Tison was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Norman Eugene Tison; siblings, Eugene Brown, Arnold Brown, and Carolyn Marshall.
She is survived by two sons, Norman Tison (Shannon) of Woodville, Mississippi and Tim Tison (Cathy) of Jena, Louisiana; grandchildren, Ashley Fox (Paul) and Devin Jacobs; great-grandchildren, Ivory Fox, Nathan and Matthew Jacobs; brothers, John Brown and Jerry Brown; sisters, Mary Locke, Elaine Pintuff, Mildred Dashwood, Alice Malone, Anita Foster, and Linda Johnson.
