Funeral services for Mrs. Nora “Nanky” Jones Van Veckhoven will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at Liberty Christian Church in Aloha, Louisiana with Reverend Leonard Free officiating. Interment will be in St. Rose Cemetery, Aloha, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home of Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. Van Veckhoven, age 75, of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on April 26, 2017 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Nora will always be remembered for her smile, strong faith and her love for her family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Pete” Van Veckhoven; parents, Eligy A. and Mary Ozeat Roberts Jones; one brother, Virgil Jones; nephews, Lynn Jones and Kirby Jones.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Fredieu (Keli) of Montgomery and Craig Fredieu (Pam) of Montgomery; one daughter, Charlene Fredieu Pinder of Montgomery; six grandchildren, Chris, Jarrod, Tanner, Britt, Lexie and Dawson; six great-grandchildren, Ainsley, Amelia, Anderson, Nora, Halen and Fallan; a special cousin she loved like a sister, Veronica “Pansy” LaChapelle; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Liberty Christian Church, Aloha, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Pinder, Jarrod Pinder, Chris Pinder, Britt Fredieu, Tanner Fredieu, Roger Fredieu and Dawson Howie.
