Condolences

Condolence From: Christina S Bonds
Condolence: You are a Hero to me I remember traipsing right behind you out the front screen door of the living room at the house on 1207. To go set up a small pool that i swam in for hours at a time each summer. I remember you waking me up at 5:00 a.m. and getting into the truck PawPaw used to fuss about the Power Stearing to go to Woodson Landing to launch the aluminum boat with the fancy rods and reels and jigges and cane poles. Maw Maw always had brown sacks from Macs Freash market full of snacks and chips and koolaid bottles that you twist of the claw looking thing of of the top and sandwich stuff. I’d have my 2 pc bathing suit on under a pair of shorts and a shirt. I’d take up the entire middle seat of the boat laying out and sun bathing. Then when I’d start to fish with my cane pole I’d get my cork caught in the trees trying to get it far enough from the boat. My Paw Paw would have his pistol on his hip. Then after catching my share of fish and snacking I’d have to go to the bathroom and id quietly tell maw maw because I didn’t want pawpaw to fuss about having to stop fishing and getting the trolling motor down in the water just to go to shore so i could potty and mawmaw. Then aftter our big day of fishing we’d go back to the house and in the back yard there was a tree with a piece of ply wood that me and paw paw with our spoons would scale our haul.
There where many many of these fishing trips. Those are my best memory’s. Oh and a few of mawmaws famous fusses where about sitting on the floor in the living room and she would always say “Chrissy your going to have P. I. S. S. A. N. T. S. all over my floor”. Her best thing to make was ravioli’s. And getting the clothes out of the washer and going outside to the clothes line. Hanging clothes in the breeze with the sun shining down. One of the last times i spent a summer their maw maw had a hysterectomy i think when i was 15. One of the poignant things she said to me before going home to where i lived with my mother then was “get your clothes out of the dryer Chrissy”’. Love you mawmaw see you in heaven when i get there. Till then hang out with Wilbet and Kathleen and Johnny!
