A Memorial service will be held for Mr. Richard “Rick” Daron Fontenot, of Colfax, Louisiana, on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Church of Christ, 1856 Jackson Street, Alexandria, Louisiana at 10:00 a.m. with Larry Pasley officiating.

Ricky, born on December 31, 1958, passed away at his residence on the evening of January 4, 2018, at the age of 59.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty Jane Baumgartner Fontenot.

He is survived by his father and step-mother, Berlin “Lucky” and Cora Sue Fontenot of Pineville, Louisiana, brothers Mike Fontenot and wife Paula of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Monty Fontenot and wife Donna of Pineville, Louisiana, and sister Rhonda Fontenot Johnson and fiancé Rodney Lake of Hessmer, Louisiana, Georgia Wells and husband Rodney of Tioga, Louisiana, and Robbie Melder and husband Jeff of Melder, Louisiana, nephews Ryan Fontenot and wife Nikki of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, Travis Johnson and wife Jackie of Pineville, Louisiana, Timothy Johnson of Lafayette, Louisiana, Colby Vance of Pineville, Louisiana, Henry Goudeau and wife Amanda of Melder, Louisiana, Justin Wells of Alexandria, Louisiana, nieces Alydia Fontenot of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, and Kayla Fontenot of Pineville, Louisiana, Mackenzie Turner of Deville, Louisiana, Susan Nasr and husband Georges of Melder, Louisiana, great-nephews Blake Burrows, Evan Holmes, Travis “TJ” Johnson, Jr., Brees Johnson, Conner Goudeau, Braxton Wells, and great-nieces Becca Burrows, Erin Fontenot, Taelor Johnson, Kennedy Johnson, Presleigh Wells, and Stella Ryder.
