Funeral services for Mrs. Carlene “Callie” Lachney King will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana, with Father Bruce Miller officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Mrs. King, age 65, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, February 12, 2018 at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. King was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was always willing to help people who came to her for help. She loved to dance and play games on her computer. Mrs. King’s grandchildren were her heart. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.

Mrs. Carlene King is preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Lachney and Irene Saucier Lachney; and sister, Diana Johnson.

She is survived by her husband of 11 years, Tommy King; sons, Chris Mathews, Jr. (Angel) of Pineville; daughter Mistie Mathews Carraway of Alexandria; step-sons, Daryl King (Alesha) of Deville and Kevin King of Pineville; brothers, John “Fuzzy” Lachney (Daisy) of Pineville and Harry P. Lachney (Opal) of Boyce; sisters, Bonnie Rachal (Troy) of Pineville and Deborah Herbert (Don) of Hessmer; grandchildren, Courtney, Robert, Tyler, Clayton, Hanna, Nathan, and Dillon; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may visit on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. There will be a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. for friends and family.
