Life Story for Preston Hall Mosley

Funeral services for Mr. Preston Hall Mosley will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana, with Reverend’s Chuck Evans and Doug James officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Chapel Cemetery in Williana, Louisiana under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana. Friends may visit on Friday, April 6, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.


Preston, age 63, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Mosley spent his entire career in law enforcement in Grant Parish. Preston was most recently a deputy for the U.S. Marshall Service. He served as Chief Deputy for the Grant Parish Sheriff Office, served as Sheriff of Grant Parish and was Chief of Police for the Creola Police department. Mr. Mosley will forever be missed by those that knew and loved him.

Mr. Mosley was preceded in death by his parents, Horace and Maxine Mosley, Sr.; his first wife, Lorie “Jean” Hardee, wife, Patricia “Pattie” Masters; son, Preston Heath Mosley; step-son Joe Ed Hastings and a brother, Horace E. Mosley, Jr.

Preston Mosley is survived by one daughter, Melissa “Missy” Mosley Pistoljevic (Eldin); grandchildren, Landon Preston Pistoljevic and Carson Heath Pistoljevic; step-daughter, Heather “Nickie” Strother, step-grandchildren, Brittany Ann Strother and Blake Strother and one nephew, Brian Mosley (Susan).

Pall Bearers honored to serve are: Preston Lyles, Keith Delaney, Ted Gahn, Tim Montgomery, Glenn Futrell and Beau Fowler.
