Funeral services for Mr. Thomas “Tom” Simpson will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Sanctuary of Praise, Pineville, Louisiana, with Bishop David Roberts and Reverend David Kimsey officiating, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana. Friends may visit on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until time of service.

Mr. Simpson, age 76, of Colfax, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, July 17, 2018 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Simpson loved God, loved his family and loved his country.

Tom was a veteran of the United States Air Force retiring after 22 years. He served two tours in Vietnam where his job was servicing aircraft for the Air Force. He also retired from Boise Cascade as an electrician. Tom was a member of the Sanctuary of Praise where he served as a board member and an usher. He will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Lynn Simpson; parents, Thomas and Lela Collard Simpson.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Yvonne Roberts Simpson of Colfax; three sons, Thomas Ernest Simpson, Jr. (Danielle) of Denison, TX, Don Michael Richards (Veronica) of Keller, TX and Joshua Andrew Richards (Yvette) of Corpus Christi, TX; four daughters, Tresa Ball of Denison, TX, Lisa Kay Simpson of Alexandria, Kristy Ann Reeves (Chester) of Baton Rouge and Sandra M. Richards of Colfax; two sisters, Pat Colletti of Houston, TX and Sandra Young of Gunter, TX; grandchildren, Allen R. Blanton, Travis Ball, Audrey Simpson, Justin Bucklew, Sylas Richards, Aden Richards, Lexie Simpson, Josiah McGrew, Thomas Randall Reeves and Angela Reeves; great-grandchildren, Harper, Anderson Hopkins and Arabella McGrew; numerous family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Sanctuary of Praise, 1701 Expressway Dr., Pineville, Louisiana 71360.
