Obituary for Pattsy Ann Young (Ruby)
Funeral services for Mrs. Pattsy Ruby Young will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Alexandria, Louisiana with Father James Ferguson officiating and assisted by Fr. José Robles-Sánchez. Interment will be in Churchpoint Methodist Church Cemetery, Churchpoint, Louisiana, officiated by Deacon Richard W. Mitchell, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Mrs. Young, age 71, of Alexandria, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on, July 29, 2018 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital, Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by her loving family.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Zane T. Young.
She is survived by her daughter, Nicole Mitchell (Deacon Richard); son, Anthony G. Abbott (Lucy) of Cibolo, TX; step-children, Philip Young of Alexandria and Susan Thomson (Scott) of Virginia; granddaughters, Lynsey L. Abbott, Katherine N. Mitchell, Sophia M. Abbott and Madeline M. Mitchell; two sisters, Mary Evanetich of St. Louis and Barbara Neidenberg (Michael) of St. Louis; one niece, Brandi Sapp and family of St. Louis.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, Alexandria, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Rosary will be recited by Fr. Louis Sklar beginning at 7:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, family request donations be made to St. Jude’s, Shriners Children Hospital or charity of choice.
