Life Story for Judith Ann Lambert (Kelley)

Judith Ann Lambert (Kelley)
A Celebration of Life service for Judith Ann "Judy" Kelley Lambert will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 4, 2018, in the sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Pineville. Visitation for Judy will begin on Saturday at the church beginning at 9:30 a.m.

Judith Ann "Sissy" or "Judy" Kelley Lambert is preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Helen Berlin Kelley who was born in Alexandria, her maternal grandparents, John Irving Berlin and Vivian Elizabeth McCrory Berlin and her paternal grandparents Clifford Clyde Kelley and Gussie Evelyn McQueen Kelley Gardner and her step-grandfather William Gardner.

Judy will be sadly missed by her son Justin Ray Parker of Alexandria, her daughter, Jennifer Lynn Belgard Horton and her husband Brandon of Shreveport and her daughter, Peyton Elizabeth Reeves of Lafayette. She loved to the moon and back her precious grandchildren Sara Elizabeth Cleghorn, Cade Dolan Cleghorn, Aspen Grace Parker and Kennedy Jane Horton. Judy is also survived by her father, Clifford Riley Kelley and his wife, Debbie Sperry Kelley of Pineville. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Karen Kay Kelley Snow and Johnny Mathew Snow of Woodworth. And also survived by her brother, Kevin Lamar Kelley of Alexandria, and her brother Brandon Rhuel Kelley of Pineville and youngest sister and her husband Britteny Rilee Kelley Adams and Ben Adams of Baton Rouge. Judy is also survived by two Aunts that loved her dearly, maternal Aunt Ann Berlin Tarver of New Iberia and paternal Aunt Judith Marie "Judy" Kelley Sanchez of Baton Rouge. Judy is also survived by one of her earliest childhood friends, Shelley Schedewitz Mclean from Harrison Arkansas.
Judy was a native of Alexandria, and passed away following an almost 4 year battle with Early Onset Dementia/Alzheimer's. Judy was a loyal friend. Everywhere she went, she made friends and had a wonderful knack for keeping up with them, even before social networking.

Judy was born in Houston, Texas, but was raised in and loved Alexandria and most of her adult life worked for The Alexandria Town Talk as a Photographer and at KALB TV in marketing and sales. She loved her co-workers and especially loved working with her clients. She participated in too many to count local and civic activities. She was very athletic, and exercising and healthy living was very much part of her life.

Judy's family, and most particularly, her sister, Karen Kay Kelley Snow, her primary caretaker would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Dr. Robert Smith, her Primary Care Physician here in Alexandria, his staff Hannah, Lacy, ... he and his staff became so much more that just a "doctor -patient " care. Dr Smith goes the extra mile to get to the root of a problem and we were amazed at his direction. He arranged for Judy to meet with a team of Neurological doctors at Baylor University Research and Treatment Center, headed by Dr. Adrianna Strutt. After minimal testing they were able to concur that Judy's illness was due in-fact to Early On-Set dementia/Alzheimer's. To say we were in shock would be such an understatement. Also our family would like to thank the director and staff from Marigold Place, Maggie Molan, Administrator, and her entire staff, she had during this last year. Judy grew to love them all!
The family requests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association so that one day this terrible, terrible disease that took our mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and coworker and last but not least, friend, might be prevented and or treated. In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to Alzheimer's Association P.O.
