Life Story for Royland Bordelon

Royland  Bordelon
Mr. Royland “Roy” John Bordelon, age 87, entered eternal rest on Saturday, August 4, 2018, at his residence in Pineville, Louisiana. Services for Mr. Bordelon will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, in Ball, Louisiana.

Visitation for Mr. Bordelon will be on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 4:00 p.m.

Mr. Royland Bordelon was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved to fish and loved to work in his garden, where he grew the best cantaloupes. Mr. Bordelon served, with honor, in the US Army during the Korean Conlfict. He then worked for the Pineville Fire Department and retired after 30 years. Mr. Bordelon lived his life off of one saying, “God is Love and put your trust in Him.” He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents Dumas Bordelon and Bertha Roy Bordelon; sister, Myra Tyler; and brother, Philbert Bordelon.

Mr. Royland is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Bertha Evans Bordelon; sons, Steve A. Bordelon (Zilda) of Pineville and Ted R. Bordelon of Longview, TX; daughter, Peggy Brouillette of Pineville; 5 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers any donations are to be made to the church are charity of your choice in Mr. Bordelon's name.
