Life Story for John Lawrence Bordelon

John Lawrence  Bordelon
Funeral services for Mr. John Lawrence Bordelon will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Tioga, Louisiana with Father Rick Gremillion officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball, Louisiana, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.

Friends may visit on Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home Louisiana from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. There will also be a Rosary led by Deacon Michael Young at 6:00 p.m.

Friends are also welcome to visit on Monday at Gallagher Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.

Mr. John Lawrence Bordelon, age 79, of Pineville, Louisiana entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Christus Saint Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Bordelon was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a long time member and Server at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and was a member of Knights of Columbus. Mr. Bordelon proudly served his country for 25 years in the National Guard while working at Dresser Industries where he retired after over 40 years of employment. Mr. Bordelon enjoyed camping and working in his yard. He was also a devoted LSU and Saints Football fan. The most precious thing in life to him however, was his family, whom he loved dearly. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Walter Bordelon and Theresa Charrier Bordelon; 6 brothers; 5 sisters; and 2 step-sons, Roger and Gregory Cannon.

He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Glennie Bordelon and her wife-in-law, Jean Devore; son, John R. Bordelon (Denise) of Pineville, daughters, Debbie Bordelon of Pineville and Brenda Bordelon of Alexandria; daughter-in-law’s Katina Giardina and Christine Carter; 10 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren.
