Services for Ann Greer Torrans will be on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home with Reverend Greg Carroll officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery.

Ann Torrans, age 81, of Ball, formerly of Leesville, died at 4:32 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018, at Christus Cabrini Hospital, in Alexandria. She was born February 27, 1937 in Logansport, the daughter of Travis and Maxine Shahan Greer.

She was a graduate of Northwestern State University and held a Master’s Degree from LSU, Baton Rouge.

Ann’s love for knowledge inspired her to become a teacher. She taught in Florida and Louisiana, retiring after 31 years.

Survivors include two sons, Michael Keith Torrans (Candy) of Kingston, TN and Mark Greer Torrans (Heather) of Ball; one brother, James Greer (Donna) of Fort Smith, AR; one sister-in-law, Brenda Greer; two granddaughters, Elizabeth Torrans and Amanda Torrans; two grandsons, Michael Torrans and William Torrans; four nieces and nephews; and ten great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Col. Michael E. Torrans; her parents, Travis and Maxine Greer; her brother Travis Greer, Jr.; grandson, Briggs Kees Torrans.

Friends may visit on Monday, September 17, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m.
