Mr. Dewey Thomas Millard, Jr., age 47, entered eternal rest on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana after a brief illness. Services for Mr. Millard will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, October 15, 2018 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home, in Ball, Louisiana, with Reverend Jimmy Koonce officiating.

Visitation for Mr. Millard will be on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from noon until service time.

Mr. Millard served his country in the USAF with tours in Desert Storm. He later worked as a Captain at a Correctional Facility in Cottonport, Louisiana. He was a loving father, son, brother and friend. Dewey will be missed by those that loved and knew him.

Mr. Millard, Jr. is survived by his fiancé, Laurie Spears of Simmsport; his parents, Dewey and Geraldine Millard, Sr. of Pineville; his sons, Dillon Millard of Pineville and James Isaac McCracken of Texas; three sisters, Sharon Lopez (Robert) of Pineville, Sheila Gallent of Pineville and Vickie Hutchinson of Georgia and a host of cousins and friends.
