Mrs. Sybil Mae Vines Griffin, age 73, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. Services for Mrs. Griffin will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church, in Tannehill, Louisiana, with Reverend Ricky Vines officiating. Burial will follow at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, under the direction Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mrs. Sybil Griffin was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a member to the Hurricane Creek Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, drinking coffee on the porch, and was passionate about reading. Mrs. Griffin loved spending time with her family whom she loved dearly. She can never be replaced and will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Louie Benjamin Griffin; parents, Leonard and Lucille Simpson Vines; and siblings, Hazel Lyles, David, Lloyd, and Edward Vines.

Mrs. Griffin is survived by her sons, Jerry Wayne Griffin (Tammy), Michael Griffin “Beau” (Amanda), Louie Griffin (Christy), Greg Benjamin Griffin, and Justin Brooks; daughter, Pamela Barnett (Teddy); brothers, Alvin Vines and Phillip Vines (Teri); sisters, Brenda Brown (Steve) and Connie Vines; eleven grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to serve are Paul Barnett, Dusty Griffin, Zoe Griffin, Logan Griffin, Nolan Griffin, and Craig Griffin. Honorary Pallbearers are Jimmy Smith, Kaleb Seymour, and Justin Tinsley.
