Mrs. Shirley Montgomery Gregory, age 81, died on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at M.D. Anderson Hospital in Houston, Texas. Family will receive friends at Gallagher Funeral Home (3994 Monroe Hwy, Ball, LA 71405) on Friday, December 7 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. The service for Shirley will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home with Reverend Kenneth Murrell and Reverend George Carr officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Shirley was a loving wife and a wonderful friend to many people. She loved singing Gospel music, cooking, baking, crafts, needlework, and tending to her garden. Shirley also enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends. Those travels took Shirley and Bill on 40 cruises. She loved her yellow 1956 T-Bird, top down of course. Those that loved and knew her will forever miss her.

Her parents, Loy Montgomery Sr. and Joyce Sawyer Montgomery, and her ex-husband, Charles Bowen, precede her in death.

Shirley is survived by her husband Bill Gregory; stepson, William Roger Gregory, Jr. (Annette); brother, Loy Montgomery, Jr. (Shonnie); nephew, Brent Montgomery (Lisa); and niece, Kim Moore (Kyle).
