Obituary for Leonard Albert Michiels
A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Leonard Albert Michiels will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, 2019 at St. Frances Xavier Cathedral in Alexandria, Louisiana with Father Ferguson officiating, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Michiels, age 81, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at Christus St. Frances Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana, surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Michiels was a loving father, grandfather, uncle and friend. He was a faithful member of St. Frances Xavier Catholic Church. He was a licensed professional counselor and was the owner of Leonard Michiels & Associates Rehabilitation and Management Company for over 20 years. He also owned Ye’Ole Delicatessen in Pineville, Louisiana
He is survived by two sons, Scott Michiels (Brandi) of Pineville and Brad Michiels of Pineville; one daughter, Dr. Krista Michiels Marchman (Steve) of Wintergarden, FL; six grandchildren, Bradon Michiels, Maren Michiels, Cole Michiels, Mason McGill, Jerrica McGill and Alex Michiels; five nephews, Beau Michiels, Matthew Michiels, Kurt Ryder, Kent Ryder and Stacey Ryder; one niece, Lisa Buckley.
Friends may visit on Wednesday, January 2, 2018 at Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m. Services will be held at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral on Thursday, January 3, 2018 at 3:00 p.m.
