Joe Hebert was a truly kind and compassionate man, who was a husband, father, and proud grandfather above all else. He was a long time drag racer and was a hard worker. He was known by many titles in his life such as state champion, Rovin’ Gambler, Coach, little brother, husband, Daddy, friend, Pawpaw, Joe Cool, Joe Gambler, and Timex. But if you really knew Joe, you knew a superhero.

Mr. Hebert is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Hebert, Jr. and Clydel Smith Hebert; and sister, Linda Beaubouef.

He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Bettye Bringol Hebert; daughters, Nancy Slusher (Chris) and Amanda Hebert; sons, Joey Hebert (Melanie) and Matthew Powers; grandchildren, Laikyn Elizabeth Slusher, Korianna Clydel Hebert, Joseph Michael Hebert, Jr., Sara Jade Nelson, Dominic Alexander Jeter, Keyan Zane Glaub, Brittany Lynn Slusher, and C.J. Slusher; sisters, Anita Kerry (Jim) and Judy Vermaelen (Tommy).
