Obituary for Doris Taylor (Bordelon)

Mrs. Doris Bordelon Taylor, age 67, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, January 7, 2019, at Christus St. Francis Cabrini Hospital in Alexandria, Louisiana. Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor will be held on Thursday January 10 , 2019, at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana with Brother Marshall Xavier officiating. Visitation for Mrs. Taylor will be on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Ball under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory.

Mrs. Taylor loved her grandkids more than all the running tracks, more than all the fish, and more than all the baseballs in the world. She was a very social person and liked to keep up with everyone on Facebook. She enjoyed good food, good friends, being chauffeured around, and going fishing. She will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.

Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her husband, Mike Taylor; parents, Laney and Annie Bordelon; and brothers, Lubby and Chester Bordelon.

She is survived by her children, Dana Burns (Bubba) of Gardner and Duke Taylor (Jennifer) of Effie; grandchildren, Chase and Holli Taylor and Cameron Burns; brothers, Tunie Bordelon of Alexandria and Jr. Bordelon of Alexandria; sisters, Judy Mahfouz of Ball, Betty Glenn of Tioga, Ruth Rusk (Cootsie) of Moncla, and Carolyn Boney (Mike) of Ball; and an unlimited amount of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers honored to serve are John Strong, Trenton Strong, David Vercher, Lane Vercher, Bubba Rusk, and Bobby Bordelon. Honorary Pallbearers are David Mahfouz, Chase Taylor, and Cameron Burns.
