Obituary for Jacob Allen Gillespie
Funeral services for Mr. Jacob Allen Gillespie will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church, 6026 Hwy. 112, Melder, Louisiana 71433, with Reverend Jason Townley officiating. Interment will be in the Church Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Gallagher Funeral Home, Ball, Louisiana.
Mr. Gillespie, age 22, of Forest Hill, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at his residence.
At the depth of his soul he possessed a gentle strength so powerful that it could
push the earth off its axis.
If the width of his heart could be measured in distance, it would have stretched to the end of the universe and back.
He felt everything deeply and loved with selfless abandon.
He was a thinker, problem solver, protector, and peacemaker; for others, he was always courageous and steadfastly brave.
He was a loving husband, a loyal brother and friend, a 'mama's boy' and 'his father's son'.
He was an everlasting gift that will never be taken for granted.
He is preceded in death by his father Charles Gillespie; grandfather, A.D. Gillespie.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hunter Gillespie of Forest Hill; mother, Roseanne Borland (Marty) of Woodworth; grandparents, James and Patricia Fouts of Mandeville, La.; grandmothers, Helen Gillespie of Forest Hill and Wanda Thoman of Woodworth; one brother, John David Gillespie of Forest Hill; many family and friends.
Friends may visit on Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church, Melder, LA from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
