Obituary for Mary Elizabeth Laird (Carper)
Ms. Mary Elizabeth Laird, age 87, of Pineville entered eternal rest on Friday, March 15, 2019 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Memorial services for Ms. Laird will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Gallagher Funeral Home and Crematory in Ball, Louisiana. Visitation for Ms. Laird will begin at 5:00 p.m.
Ms. Mary was a loving mother and grandmother. She grew up on the family farm in Spruce Creek, Pennsylvania and graduated Warrior’s Mark High School in 1949. Ms. Mary loved to read and shared that passion with her grandchildren by frequently visiting the library. She was a long time member of God’s Missionary Church in Seven Stars, Pennsylvania. Ms. Laird will forever be missed by those that loved and knew her.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Linda Marie Laird and Cherie Louise Laird.
Survivors include her son, William Beers of Pineville; grandchildren, Victoria Elizabeth Beers, and Rebecca Anne Beers; 2 great–grandchildren, Robert Blaine Smith, Autumn Skye Smith.
