Obituary for Douglas Lynn Williamson
Mr. Douglas Lynn Williamson, age 70, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Sunday, April 21, 2019 at Naomi Heights Nursing and Rehab Center in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Funeral services for Mr. Williamson will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana, with Reverend Vance Curtis officiating. Burial will follow the service, in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ball, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. Visitation for Mr. Williamson will be on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Mr. Douglas was a loving father, son, brother, and grandfather. He worked construction most of his life and was a “Jack” of all trades. Mr. Douglas was an avid LSU and Saints fan, and was a fun loving and carefree soul. He will forever be missed by those that loved and knew him.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys Palmer Williamson; brother, Steve Williamson; and sister, Loriann Williamson.
He is survived by two sons, Sean Williamson (Tara) of Omaha, Nebraska and Brian Williamson of Springfield, Nebraska; daughter, Kerri Williamson (Brandon) of Murray, Nebraska; father, Gene Williamson of Alexandria, Louisiana; brothers, Mike Williamson (Margie) of Atlanta, Georgia and Scott Williamson (Pamela) of Alexandria, Louisiana; sister-in-law, Virginia Williamson of Pineville; ex-wife, Vicki Merrit; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Brynn; and a host of nieces and nephews.
