Obituary for Venita "Sue" Baker (Brock)
Mrs. Venita “Sue” Brock Baker, age 80, of Dry Prong, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Monday, April 29, 2019 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family.
Funeral services for Mrs. Baker will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana, with Reverend Drew Gardner officiating. Burial will follow the service, in Dry Prong Cemetery Dry Prong, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home. Visitation for Mrs. Baker will be on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m.
Mrs. Sue Baker was a loving and Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. She worked for many years at the Rapides Bank and then at Kelly’s Catering as a book keeper. Mrs. Baker was a longtime faithful Sunday school teacher at Kingsville Baptist. However, her greatest joy in life was being with her family whom she loved dearly. She will forever be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Brock and Dorothy Sparks Brock; and husband, Austin L. Baker.
She is survived by son, Larry Lee Baker (Pam) of West Monroe; daughter, Beth Guillory (Ronnie) of Dry Prong; sister, Jan Mount (Bill) of Pineville; grandchildren, Michelle Carson, Harrison Baker (Melanie), Luke Guillory, and Layne Guillory; great-grandchildren, David, Dylan, Victoria, Miley, and Gracelyn.
