Mr. David B. Watkins, age 72, of Pineville, Louisiana, entered eternal rest on Friday, June 21, 2019 at his residence in Pineville, Louisiana surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services for Mr. Watkins will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana.
Visitation for Mr. Watkins will be on Monday evening, June 24, 2019 at Gallagher Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. until service time, under the direction of Gallagher Funeral Home.

Mr. Watkins was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He lived for and dearly loved his family and his relationship with God. He was a wonderful man who always exemplified unconditional love. He adored his grandchildren, bragged on them constantly, served his country in the United States Navy and loved “food”. He will be missed by those that loved and knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Watkins of Pineville; his mother, Janell Watkins of Jena; four daughters, Jessica Goodrich (Wayne) of Iowa, Faith Shamblin (Hershel) of Iowa, Jennifer Kirk (Tracy) of Deville and Natalie French (Nolan) of Pineville; one son, Jonathan Watkins (Robin) of Illinois; two sisters, Lysta Haynes (Barry) of Texas and Susan Pyle (Stephen) of Illinois; one brother, Tom Watkins (Nannette) of Jena and ten grandchildren.
