Obituary for Richard Calvin Ortego
Funeral services will be held for Rick Ortego on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at 4:00 at Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m until 4:00 p.m. and a short service will follow after visitation. There will be no procession to the cemetery.
Rick passed away peacefully at the age of 48 with his mom by his side. He was a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin and friend who loved his family and loved his Lord. Our loss is heavens gain. Rick was a special gift from God and a gift is not a gift until you give it away. God was there with open opens to receive His gift back. We are feeling God’s embrace as he welcomes Rick and wraps his arms around him. We are feeling the peace that surpasses all understanding.
Today he walks the streets of gold. Today he sees Jesus. Many arms welcoming him into his sweet heavenly home. Until we see him again...
Survivors include his mother, Pam Faul, sisters Cori DePrato and Bethany Jones. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Calvin Ortego and paternal grandparents Calvin and Berna Ortego and maternal grandparents, Richard and Susan Goodart and cousins Trisha and John Harper and Logan Randall.
