Obituary for Melba Patricia Morgan Sanders
Melba Patricia Morgan Sanders, 93, passed away at Lakeland Nursing Home on Saturday, July 13, 2019 in Jackson, MS after an extended illness.
Patricia was born in Alexandria, LA in 1925. She lived in Vidalia, LA and Pineville, LA for the majority of her life. For the last 10 years she lived in the Brandon-Jackson, MS area. She loved flowers, loved to cook, to fish, to entertain, and most of all her family.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph M Morgan and Elizabeth R Morgan; spouse, Jared Y Sanders; and four siblings – Charles Morgan, George Morgan, Mary Sweesy, and Betty Wells. She has one living sibling, Edith Woodson. She also had 4 children – Ronnie Joe Sanders, Debra Sanders Pennington, Betty Jean Sanders, and Elizabeth K. Sanders Johnson. She was blessed with 6 grandchildren- Rhonda, Kimberly, Annie, Candice, Brandi, Marissa; 13 great grandchildren; and a long-time friend - Margo Goss. She had numerous nieces and nephews. All were loved by her.
Ott and Lee Funeral Home in Brandon, MS will be in charge of the arrangements. A graveside service will be on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Ball, LA. Mr. Keith Gallagher from Gallagher Funeral Home in Ball, LA is to preside over the service.
